To say Thanksgiving this year is different is an understatement, but LSS The Good Shepherd resident Norma was still happy to call her son, Ben. Pastor Julie from TGS also supplied this Thanksgiving prayer.

Gracious Lord, for many of us this is a Thanksgiving the likes of which many of us have not experienced before. But the meaning of the day has changed.
We take time to reflect and to express gratitude for all that we have been given.
Though many may feel that much has been taken from us this year, continue to reveal your blessings and give us the mind to see them and to give thanks.
We pray for LSS and all its programs who help so many people in so many ways.
We pray for The Good Shepherd and Lutheran Village of Ashland: for their residents who we are blessed to care for.
We pray for their families who are blessed to be a part of our family. Give them strength and assurance.
We pray for ALL for our staff who work so hard in so many areas to provide for our residents and families. Uplift them today and every day.
As we gather today remind us that Thanksgiving is more than about food and who is and is not around our table. It is about seeing what we are blessed with every day. Thanksgiving is a way of life, body, mind and spirit through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
