Thank you for your interest in volunteering with LSS CHOICES!  There are currently opportunities to serve both inside and outside our newly expanded CHOICES shelter.  Additional volunteer opportunities will be posted as they are developed.

I’m Passionate about Domestic Violence

Kitchen Volunteers

We strive to provide nourishing and comforting meals to our residents while they are living in their temporary home.  Meals provided and served with love by community groups help us to reach this goal while also allowing us to divert resources to services and programming for residents and their families.  Small groups and individuals are welcome to volunteer and/or serve in the kitchen.  All volunteers must be 18 years old and attend an orientation session.

If you are interested in providing a meal at CHOICES please see our guidelines below.

Donation Center Volunteers

Volunteer groups are needed to assist in the CHOICES donation center processing and sorting donations for use in the shelter.  The donation center is located off site from the CHOICES shelter at 245 N. Grant Avenue in Columbus (our Faith Mission location).  Groups of up to 10 volunteers can serve together in the donation center.  All volunteers must be 14 and older with a responsible adult.
