While October is dedicated to Domestic Violence Awareness Month, it's crucial to address this prevalent community issue throughout the entire year. Shockingly, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will experience domestic violence in their lifetimes. Its impact may not always be visible through physical signs like black eyes or bruises; it can also manifest through demeaning and humiliating words, control, and isolation. It's essential to recognize that domestic violence can affect anyone, even those close to you. Your support can make a significant difference.

Understanding Domestic Violence

Domestic abuse can start off seeming innocent, until it’s not. It doesn’t always include physical violence, but includes verbal, emotional and financial abuse.
