LSS Affordable Housing offers reliable and affordable apartments to more than 1,000 seniors throughout Ohio at 21 sites.

Our Mission

As part of the Lutheran Social Services’ Network of Hope, our mission is to create a better world by serving people in need. We live out our faith by providing housing options to seniors who have limited resources and improve their overall well-being by removing financial and emotional worries.

Bea’s Story

Before moving into Applewood Place, Bea was living in a damp, cold apartment above a garage. Climbing the stairs to her apartment was difficult and keeping warm in the winter was a challenge.

Now Bea is comfortable and loves where she lives. She has friends and participates in a weekly card game. She feels much more secure and doesn’t have to worry about the place she calls home.

The convenience and security of LSS Affordable Housing communities like Applewood Place allow Bea the independence to care for herself in a safe and caring environment.
