Through multiple mobile pantries and produce distributions in 13 counties, the LSS Food Pantries are used by thousands of Ohio families every month. The LSS Food Pantries were honored to provide more than 2 million meals to hungry Ohio families last fiscal year.
What is a Food Pantry?
Food pantries and food banks are both important sources of emergency food for our hungry neighbors but serve different functions. Our food pantries directly serve local residents who suffer from hunger and food insecurity in very specific neighborhoods.
Eligibility for Food
In the State of Ohio, income eligibility for food pantry assistance is determined by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. Any household living at 200% of the federal poverty level or less is eligible to visit the pantry.
Mobile and Produce Distributions
We try to meet our clients where they are so that we can help them better their lives. That means taking our choice food pantry on the road to communities where families are suffering from food insecurity and hunger.
