LSS Lutheran Village Assisted Living in Ashland, Ohio is a leader in care and services for today’s older adults. We support our residents in living comfortable and healthy lives by providing them with a home-like residence where they can also receive health care services in a stress-free environment. Each resident has an entire team to help them develop a living plan that includes safety, care and activity.

As part of the Lutheran Social Services’ Network of Hope, our mission is to create a better world by serving people in need. We live out our faith by providing seniors with excellent healthcare services within a welcoming, home-like setting.
Resident Services
We offer services that enable seniors to maintain dignity, respect and privacy, while fostering good relations with family, friends and the community. Our services include:
- Nurse on duty 24-hours a day
- Medication monitoring and administration
- Chef-prepared meals
- Availability of skilled nursing care and therapy through LSS Home Health Care
- A full array of amenities
Connect with us and your loved one
We are proud to offer Caremerge, an online communication portal, to the families of our residents. Through the portal, you can see the activity calendar and any announcements as well as message with staff. This convenient tool, which can be accessed from a desktop computer or its app, makes keeping up with mom or dad easy.
Doris’ Story
Doris has a cochlear implant and did not think she could enjoy group activities due to her hearing loss. When she moved into Lutheran Village, one of the staff members offered to help Doris play Bingo at a picnic at Pleasant Hill Lake Park. Doris had planned to sit out the game because she didn’t think she could participate. At first she was resistant but she finally agreed to play. She won the first game and was so excited! She left the picnic saying that she was so glad she played and would definitely play Bingo again whenever it was offered at LVA. Doris’ daughter later told us that her mom told her, “I made up my mind that I am going to do everything I can!” There is no need to miss activities at LVA!

Robert has lived at Mt Pleasant Place, an LSS senior affordable housing community in Lancaster, for two years. Before retiring, he owned a convenience store and also worked in logistics and trucking. Since moving in, Robert picks up food for other residents at the LSS Fairfield County Food Pantry and also brings fresh produce from various local locations during the warmer months. We appreciate his caring outlook toward others!
