Per Governor DeWine’s directives, Lutheran Village will be closed to visitors effective Friday, March 13, 2020 at 3:30 p.m.
We will continue to follow the current guidelines and allow one immediate family member per resident to visit on Friday, March 13 through 3:30 p.m.
We realize this is going to be a very difficult time for both residents and families. Please continue to call your loved ones. If your family member needs help using a phone, call into the facility and request a staff member’s assistance. Additionally, please encourage your family members to accept their invitations to Caremerge as this is where we will be posting all updates.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all work together to keep your loved ones safe.

Doris has a cochlear implant and did not think she could enjoy group activities due to her hearing loss. When she moved into Lutheran Village, one of the staff members offered to help Doris play Bingo at a picnic at Pleasant Hill Lake Park. Doris had planned to sit out the game because she didn’t think she could participate. At first she was resistant but she finally agreed to play. She won the first game and was so excited! She left the picnic saying that she was so glad she played and would definitely play Bingo again whenever it was offered at LVA. Doris’ daughter later told us that her mom told her, “I made up my mind that I am going to do everything I can!” There is no need to miss activities at LVA!
