Our Stories

People come to LSS Home Health Care at different stages in their lives and for different reasons. Each person’s story is unique. We strive to meet our patients where they are and serve them as individuals so that they can be healthy and self-sufficient. Here are some of those unique stories.

Janet’s Story

Janet lives at LSS North Community Place. She has arthritis in her leg and arm and uses LSS Home Health Care for physical therapy. She has used another agency in the past but did not have great results. This time, LSS Home Health Care has really improved her condition. “They’ve helped me to even better than where I was before.  I would recommend them.  It’s worth the time and effort because they really do help you,” she said.

Norma’s Story

Norma is 91 years old and lives at LSS North Community Place. She says LSS Home Health Care is a godsend for the physical therapy she has to do for a torn cuff. The therapists from LSS Home Health Care also gave her a balance test and now they are working with her to improve her balance and sciatica as well. Previously she used to use a cane, but now she doesn’t have to. She remarks, “They did an excellent job.”

Mary’s Story

Mary lives at LSS Kensington Place. She uses LSS Home Health Care’s balance program twice a week and typically has the same therapist, which she appreciates. She says, “I can tell a difference.  I will continue with my exercises.”

Rita’s Story

Rita is an LSS Kensington Place resident. She is 81 years old and has vertigo, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. Her LSS Home Health Care therapists come twice a week, and she says they help her understand her treatments by drawing diagrams. “I feel like I was in the grave but now I’m on the sod,” she said.
