About Us
Through the LSS Disaster Services program, Lutheran Social Services (LSS) provides disaster response coordination and disaster preparedness training in the state of Ohio and surrounding areas. As the statewide coordinator for Lutheran Disaster Response LDR-ELCA, LSS provides coordination for long-term recovery including repair and rebuilding of homes destroyed by disaster. As the District-wide coordinator for the Ohio District-LCMS, LSS provides early response coordination by meeting basic needs of families impacted by disaster.

The staff at LSS Disaster Services are deeply connected to the mission and values of the LSS Network of Hope. It’s our responsibility to not only help people in need, but to maintain their dignity in doing so. We walk alongside our clients as they strive to change and improve their lives.
